August bank Holiday was a great weekend filled with glorious sunshine laughter and the smell of sizzling BBQ’s.

The onsite Riverside Bar and Eatery serving cold local ciders and Mr Whippy Ice-creams could be enjoyed while taking in the views of the River Wye.

With beautiful weather it would be rude not to be outdoors and soaking up the sunshine the River Wye has seen a hide of activity from fishing to canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding. If you don’t have your own canoes there are many canoe hire companies operate along the River Wye.

With many walks available from the Caravan Park you can take a stroll while enjoying the views, the Woods provide a picture backdrop to the Caravan Park and with many trails available providing some much-needed shade and allows children’s imaginations to venture and explore. The monk jack can be spotted if you are quiet enough along with other wildlife. If you don’t want to venture into the woods there are Riverside walks available and if you are lucky enough you many even spot out resident Otters.

Bank Holiday Monday Woolhope village held their fete providing a great afternoon of fun in the sun. We supported the event by selling raffle tickets for their draw.
